Port authorities
Port authorities manage port-wide emissions with measured data from the equipment of operators under their jurisdiction
When LTS DTG and the LCS engine are applied to the cargo-handling equipment and yard tractors of terminal operators under its jurisdiction, the port authority sees measured emissions for the whole port on one screen instead of handwritten records scattered across operators.
Why now
Terminal operators outside Korea publish the carbonintensity of each terminal every year
Port emissions are now compared first from outside the port. A port authority needs measured data to answer those comparisons with evidence.
What port authorities gain
Port authorities combine operator data and presentport-wide reduction results backed by evidence
Fuel and electricity use of operators' equipment is combined and reviewed for the whole port.
Reductions from switching to electric cargo-handling equipment and electric yard tractors are confirmed by measurement.
With the same data, operators keep measured records per unit of equipment and issue EACs for their electrification results.
01 Equipment measurement
LTS DTG collects CAN signals from cargo-handlingequipment and yard tractors every 0.1 seconds
